=====+NEWS AND NOTES+=====
So yes. Out of both working a lot and being quite overtired and sick, I've seriously gotten behind on some obligations. I owe a prize still for , to both I owe a huge gigantic apology. I've definitely had it on my mind so it's not that I haven't forgotten about it, I super ultra mega promise.
Not only has my backlog been that, but also in drawing and with keeping up with anything (shit up until a few days ago I still had stuff from three weeks ago I've been wanting to at least look at!) dA related. So if you happen to see a comment that's like, super uber mega late from the usual influx of comments of something you posted, it's because of that. I'm at least looking at everything I can so there's that.
New apartment life has been very tight. So long as I make the maximum amount of hours my part time job allows me to, I can barely pay everything off. I mean barely. However, I couldn't be happier and prouder to have my own place and it's really starting to feel like a home now. I wish I could go back to buying things I like and giving money for commissions and stuff (I'm saving that as an Anime Boston splurge!), but such is the life of an adult!
Aside from the money it's really not that bad. And I've met some wonderfully generous people whose small acts of kindness have not gone unnoticed. I've never seen such kindness toward a total stranger as I've seen in this town, and it's made my transition so much easier. If Valentine's Day has been a bummer for you because you don't have a significant other, find another way to channel love. Love isn't just about romance and flowers and all the orifice your genitals can handle. Remember good ol' unconditional love. Spend time with your family. Genuinely smile and say "thank you" to someone you ordinarily wouldn't (like maybe a grocery store cashier or someone who works at McDonald's or Burger King). Commission an artist in need if you can instead of buying something for you. Volunteer somewhere that helps people in need. Just little good things like that. It's that kind of love that makes the world go 'round and you never know. You might just deeply touch someone with something so little that they'll cherish the moment forever.
This, my friends, is true love. Next year when you get caught up in the deluge of chocolates, flowers, silly cards and shows of affection, remember the goodness in life and spread it. Help make the world a better place because you're in it.
...Wow did I get passionate with that! But boy do I mean every word. Do it. <3
